I'm a Dutch filmmaker with a passion for nature and wildlife. Since my childhood I have been intrigued by water, especially for everything that grows and blooms in it. Strolling through the meadows in Eastern Brabant, I searched in puddles, fens and lakes for sticklebacks and tadpoles. On holidays in France and Spain I searched every lake, river and stream for aquatic life. Jacques-Yves Cousteau's documentaries, broadcast on Dutch television at the time, attracted more than just my interest. It was then that I decided that when I grew up I would become a diver too! I am an adult now and have been diving for over twenty-five years!

After being certified as a PADI Master Scuba Diver and Divemaster, I switched from underwater photography to uw/videography in 2014. At first I limited myself to in-house short underwater documentary-like productions. Over the years these were awarded multiple times during international film festivals and competitions. Overtime I expanded my skills and became a certified drone operator and cameraman too.

I now work as a freelance camera operator, trained in storytelling, producing, and editing nature documentaries using topsite, underwater and drone footage. Credits include, besides my own projects, work for Dutch television like 'Vroege Vogels, Binnenstebuiten, ZAPP Your Planet, Eén Vandaag', and contributions to television documentaries. With my films I try to amaze people and give them an understanding of the beautiful natural world of which we are a part ourselves.
